Example Face 1
White Base
The design must cover a minimum of ¾ of the face.
This face will demonstrate your ability to produce a smooth, blemish-free sponged white base, with neat and even or well-blended edges and up to and around the eyes.
A good variety of brushstrokes, clean and clearly defined.
Decoration and details, in one stroke or single colour, are cleanly applied. The colour is effective and well-defined.
Example Face 2
Tiger
Tiger can be full face, ¾ face or cub design. Not mask.
The base must be applied with a sponge/s using a minimum of 3 different separate colours including white, demonstrating good blending technique, with neat edges and even up to and around the eyes.
This face will demonstrate your blending abilities, plus your compositional skills, using a variety of clean and clear brushstrokes including thick to thin, placement and symmetry where appropriate, colour, and overall impact of the design.
Please include an additional photo of the base before moving on to line work.
Example Face 3
Showpiece
Your design must cover/incorporate at least ¾ of the face i.e. beyond the nose, not just a forehead crown.
This is your opportunity to show off all your skills and more advanced skills including adding flourishes, and techniques not previously shown.
To include a variety of line work and techniques.
Enjoy yourself and show us you!
Please note – the design pictured above only just covers 3/4 face, a mask will not always be appropriate if it does not cover the required amount of the face.
