Level 2 Application

Submission Guidelines:
Eight designs are required – Six compulsory faces and Two of your own choice.
No self-paints or practice board designs will be accepted. 

Technique

1. Original and creative work with excellent technical skills
2. Good blending, crisp and varied line work
3. Good colour choices and balanced features
4. Skilled brush and sponge work

Designs

1. At least three designs should demonstrate sponge blending with separate colours. *Please state in the notes which designs are to be considered for the sponge blending.
2. NO blending from split cakes.
3. NO Powders and cream paints for blending
4. One stroke can still be used as line-work if the sponged base is still clear.
5. Use pearls, metallics, glitter, gems, and stencils sparingly.

Timing

1. Two faces should be on the job and painted within 5 minutes
2. Four other faces can be within 20 minutes each.
3. Two free-choice faces can be of any duration.

Photo submissions

1. Photographs should be of work completed in the last 12 months
2. Include 3 photos of each design: Front view, left view, and right view
3. Please make sure photos are high-resolution
4. Photos must not be altered or ‘photoshopped’ in any way.
5. Please name each file/photo to match the required criteria (i.e. 5 min butterfly, 20 min Fairy, 40 min free choice no.1 bird of paradise)
