Nature’s Elements

Hello There! I am Hannah Ainsworth, FACE Member 618, and Membership Secretary for the FACE Painting Association.  I am so excited to announce that we have launched the next FACE Conference!  It will be held on the weekend of Saturday, 31^st January – Sunday, 1^st February 2026 at the Holiday Inn in Stevenage in Hertfordshire.  Everyone is welcome, this is an ideal opportunity to experience what FACE has to offer you! This year’s theme, Nature’s Elements, invites you to explore the beauty of earth, air, fire and water through face painting, design, and imagination. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting, there’s something for everyone across our jam-packed two-day event!

The Stevenage Holiday Inn is about a fifteen-minute walk from the train station or five minutes in a taxi to the hotel.  Stevenage is on the main train line from King’s Cross, London.  It goes south to Brighton and North to Scotland.  It is half an hour from Luton Airport, so there is plenty of scope for travel.  There is a very large, long-stay car park across the road from the hotel, which is can be used by conference delegates, you will need to register your car on arrival in reception.

We have reserved double occupancy rooms for the conference, so when purchasing your tickets tell us who you would like to share with. There are also twin rooms available so if you are happy to share a room but attending in your own we will be in touch to allocate you a room with another delegate. I was on my own at the last conference and shared a room with a lovely lady, we had so much fun, and became great friends!  If you want your own room there is a £30 supplement.

The weekend ticket price includes an overnight Saturday hotel stay with breakfast; two days of face painting jams with lunch and unlimited tea & coffee; Saturday evening Gala with a Nature’s Elements fancy dress theme with dinner, licensed bar, disco & rotating photo booth; All weekend vendors including Magic Box Face Paints, Rainbow Faces & Glitter Envy, others to be announced. The doors will open at 09:30 on Saturday and Sunday, closing at 17:00 for day delegates.  We have an option to spread the payment of tickets over three months using Klarna.

We will be doing a fun body painting challenge on Sunday with teams of two artists, with an experienced body painter as a mentor.  We will close the conference with a runway of the body painting models. If you have ever wanted to give body painting a go, this would be the ideal opportunity for you! Once you have booked your tickets, we will be in touch to ask if you would like to take part in the body painting challenge so we can allocate teams.  We will also have other demonstrations and fun face painting challenges going on for those who do not fancy the body painting on the Sunday.  Have a look at our weekend programme, which will be updated during the run-up to the conference.

We will be holding a pre-conference Showcase face painting competition for FACE Members, which will be judged blindly by delegates on the Saturday.  Your three photos of the face painting design will be displayed for viewing & voting during the day, and we have a fabulous prize for the winner sponsored by Superstar!  We will be in touch with more information regarding this competition and how to enter.  If you are not a FACE Member, why not join FACE so that you can take part in this competition and be eligible for the discounted FACE Member Conference Tickets – become a member!  There is also Face Painter of  the Year awarded to a FACE member at the gala evening. The prize is a year of free PLI insurance and kit cover sponsored by Rees Astley!
