Hello! I’m Steph Patterson, FACE Member 619.
I recently attended the Bath Body Art Weekend for my 3rd time, which was on the 6-8th of June. I just wanted to share what an amazing time I had again. I did not compete this time, but attended with my family for the first time and watched all the body painting over the weekend. I want to make some special mentions about the amazing & talented FACE Members who were involved!
Sophie Aina Clift, who is a fellow FACE member and dear friend, is one of the main organisers along with Helen Esain-Eyre, Clemency Bedford and their lovely team at Annie Bee’s – Field Good Bar in Bath. It’s such a wonderful event, they all work so hard on. I’m so proud of all the work she does with them!
Beshlie-Anne Carver-Carpenter, another FACE member and friend, has attended the weekend for years and has now reached a level where she came in the top three in the body painting competition! Beshlie’s husband, Quinton, attended with her and was her bodypainting model and was so amazingly supportive. They made such a great team.
I was amazed that another FACE member, Bex Ghazghazi, who has body-painted for so many years, did so again this year, doing so brilliantly and getting second place!
Can’t forget to mention Anouska Kelly, who is also a FACE, bravely did her first body paint in a competition with Helen Stevens at the weekend, and they both did a wonderful job.
It was a really fabulous and fun weekend, from the incredible art to partying together with all my friends and family, I loved it! I really do encourage face painters and other body painters to attend, as it is so worthwhile! The atmosphere is so fabulous, and the food is amazing as well!
At the FACE Conference this January, we’re excited to introduce a Body Painting Zone, an interactive space where artists can receive expert guidance and try their hand at body painting!
